3.) Stephen Curry. After having led a team to a record number of wins last year and being the first unanimously chosen MVP, Stephen Curry disappointed in the finals. He averaged 22.6 points per game, 4.3 turnovers, and 3.7 assists compared to his regular-season averages of 30.1 PPG, 3.3 turnovers, and 6.7 assists per game.

The Curry we all know and love looked different and out of rhythm. At one point he was so frustrated he threw his mouth guard, unintentionally hitting a fan, and got kicked out of the game — which is out of character for a guy who is usually very much under control.

There were reports he was playing through an injury, but even in the 2014-2015 finals he looked offbeat. He was his team’s leader during the regular season, and even won the Most Valuable Player Award. Yet in the finals, he looked sheepish, despite the fact that his team beat an injured Cavaliers team. The Finals MVP award went to Andre Iguodala — not to Steph.

He probably didn’t care, because his team still won, but he definitely has something to prove going into this finals series.
