2.) Kevin Durant. Last season, Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder held a 3-1 lead in a best-of-seven series against the Golden State Warriors. The duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook seemed to be too much for the great Golden State team, which had set an NBA record of 73 wins during the regular season. They were one win away from taking the Western Conference championship and advancing to the finals.

That all changed when the Warriors came roaring back to overcome the deficit and defeat the Thunder in seven games — only to lose in the finals. The Thunder were just one win away from going to the finals, and there was speculation that maybe the Thunder would’ve beaten the Cavaliers if they had played them in the finals.

Sportswriters everywhere called him a coward, a traitor — and he reportedly never even sent Russell Westbrook a text before signing with his former enemies.

He left Russell Westbrook and the rest of the team devastated, and was booed furiously upon his return to his former home court.

Now he finally has a chance to get the championship he always wanted. He’ll be under the microscope as he plays in his first finals since 2012.
