2.) “Alien: Covenant” (May 19). Director Ridley Scott created one of the best science fiction movies of all time with 1979’s “Alien,” and fans have been waiting years for him to properly follow up his masterpiece. He created a pseudo-prequel with 2012’s “Prometheus,” but “Alien: Covenant” promises a full dive back into the world of man vs. alien.
The films are typically devoid of politics and are pure entertainment survival stories about what man is willing to go through when faced with a creature that feeds on death.
