Nickelodeon Off the Air for Student Walkouts
On Wednesday, students and teachers across the country staged a walkout to protest gun violence, school shootings and more. But to the surprise of many, the kid’s channel Nickelodeon chose to go off the air for 17 minutes — one minute for each person killed in the Parkland, Florida, shooting.
