CNN analyst Bakari Sellers claimed on Monday’s episode of “New Day” that President Obama went “eight years scandal-free.”
It is safe to say that almost no United States president has been without his fair share of gaffes, but to say that Barack Obama had no scandals at all is egregious. Let us remind you of just a few:
2009: The Grateful Dead performs a concert in Washington, D.C., and the president pays the band for a secret visit to the Oval Office
2009: President Obama happily meets with Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi at a G8 Summit.
2011: Obama takes credit for disposing of Gaddafi, despite being the last Western leader to speak in favor of regime change.
2011: The Obama administration fires the whistleblower who exposed the “Fast and Furious” scandal, in which thousands of American weapons went missing at the hands of dangerous Mexican drug cartels.
2016: The Obama administration made ransom payments to Iran — and lied about it.
