Many Democrats flip-flopped this week when they were suddenly against the firing of FBI Director James Comey, but in the aftermath it only took Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer five hours to reverse his stance on what should happen with the ongoing investigation into alleged ties between Russia and members of President Trump’s campaign team.

The video above shows Schumer saying in the wake of the firing that “what must happen now is that [Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein] appoints a special prosecutor to oversee this investigation.”

Just five hours later Schumer changed his tone. “There are three things that our caucus agreed must happen right away,” said the Senator. “First, Mr. Rosenstein should not be the one to appoint a special prosecutor.”
