Democratic West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin says that he has been friends with the Clinton family for “a long time” — but what Hillary said about coal miners during the 2016 election was “horrific.”
As a reminder, Clinton said on the campaign trail that she would “put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business” in reference to promoting clean energy — something many people in the coal industry took huge problem with.
