West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin proposed building a wall on the southern border of Mexico during a Senate hearing with Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Thursday.
The wall would be on the border between Mexico and Belize and Guatemala.
Manchin is one of the many Democrats who has been an outspoken critic of President Trump, leaving many to question why a wall on the southern border of Mexico would be okay — but a wall on the U.S. border is not. Both would work toward a common goal: securing a country’s border for national security.
