The attorney for the professor who allegedly beat Trump supporters with a metal bicycle lock at a free speech rally in Berkeley, California appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday, and didn’t have a very strong argument for his client.

Carlson aired footage of the violent assault, which shows the professor allegedly smashing the bike lock on protesters’ heads without being provoked.

The attorney dodged Carlson’s questions about the assault and switched arguments about the incident throughout the segment — watch the clip above.
