Conservative fans of the traditional Disney movie “Beauty and the Beast” may be upset about a change made for the new live-action remake.

Male character and Gaston sidekick LeFou will experience a “gay moment” as he explores his sexual feelings about his friend.

“LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston. He’s confused about what he wants. It’s somebody who’s just realizing that he has these feelings,” said director Bill Condon to Attitude magazine.
