A U.K. lawmaker stood up for President Trump and the American people on Monday during Parliament’s debate on whether to allow the president a formal state visit.
Conservative legislator Nigel Evans defended Trump, saying, “the American people voted for President Trump, get over it because he is president of the United States. When we stand up in this country and condemn him for being racist, and I have seen no evidence of that, of him being racist … We are attacking the American people.”
