The moment will be forever etched in Sports history. Millions of fans watched — and will re-watch again and again for years to come — the Kris Jenkins’ three-point buzzer-beater shot that won the 2016 NCAA Championship for Villanova University. The final seconds of the game will go down as some of the craziest and most thrilling ever.

“One of the best championships I’ve ever seen — and I’ve seen quite a few!” tweeted TV and radio host Larry King, 82.

To recap: With 90 seconds to go, Villanova led North Carolina 70-64. Marcus Paige drained a three-pointer, then after a turnover dropped in a lay-up. They traded buckets and with 22 seconds left, it was 72-71 ‘Nova, but they expanded the lead to 74-71 with just 13 seconds left.

That’s when Paige hit another incredible three-pointer and with 4.7 seconds left the game was tied at 74. Villanova’s Jenkins inbounded the ball to Ryan Arcidiacono, who took the ball up the court. Daniel Ochefu set a screen. Arcidiacono heard a voice yelling, “Arch! Arch! Arch!” He tossed the ball back to Jenkins, who planted his feet and launched the ball. The clocked ticked over to 0:00.

And the rest is college hoops history. Final score: Villanova wins, 77-74.
