3.) “60 Minutes.” Kelly’s show, at the start, seemed to be trying to set itself up as a newer, slicker, younger version of CBS’ “60 Minutes.” The trouble is, the Kelly program doesn’t have the same appeal as the long-running and well-established news magazine program — and it lost the viewers’ trust right out of the gate after a leaked video showed Kelly sucking up to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Then another bit of a leaked audio showed her selling Alex Jones on a lightweight profile piece before the Jones story aired — and that never happened.

Last Sunday, Kelly’s program earned less than half the viewership “60 Minutes” did. “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” brought in its measly 3.21 million viewers, while a new “60 Minutes” won over 7.19 million viewers.

This isn’t the first time she’s been beaten by the program she seemed prepped by NBC to overrun.
