Immigration naturally was a topic of conversation at the Academy Awards because — why not?

While presenting the award for Best Production Design, Kumail Nanjiani and Lupita Nyong’o made a point of saying they were both immigrants.

Nanjiani is originally from Pakistan, and Nyong’o is originally from Kenya.

“We are all dreamers,” Nanjiani said.

And he added later, “To all the dreamers out there: We stand with you.”

Think he or Nyong’o were illegal immigrants? Not likely.

The words were clearly in support of illegal immigrants — and in contrast to Donald Trump’s promises to fix immigration policy by making it less laid back and more controlled.

Think there will be anyone on Sunday night speaking out on behalf of the countless victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens — or at least presenting an alternative viewpoint to the always reliably leftist one of Hollywood’s elite?
