“Home Alone” may have been released all the way back in 1990, but the film remains a holiday classic. And Macaulay Culkin — who played the lead in the movie at only 10 years old — is asked about the John Hughes-scripted movie in just about every interview he does.

He is 38 years old now.

Culkin has embraced his “Home Alone” roots with a new commercial for Google that allows the actor to recreate some of the most beloved moments from the original film.

“Home Alone” told the story of Kevin McCallister (Culkin), a young boy who is left home alone when his large family heads off on vacation and mistakenly leaves him behind.

McCallister is left in charge of his house while his family struggles to get back to him. Things get a little dangerous for the boy when he discovers that bandits (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) are eyeing his house as their next break-in target.

The new commercial, which is for the Google Assistant, finds Culkin waking up and asking, “Mom? Dad?”

After no answer, he turns to his Google Assistant — a voice-activated device — for what is on his calendar for the day.

His Google Assistant then tells him it’s his “house-to-yourself day.”

We then see Culkin order a pizza and aftershave — both central to classic scenes in the original film — through his Google Assistant. He also eats a “highly nutritious microwavable macaroni and cheese dinner,” just as in the 1990 classic.

Culkin at one point tells his Google device to commence “Operation Kevin”; the device basically does all of the work that Culkin had to do himself in “Home Alone.” Mannequins and cardboard cutouts are used to give the impression that people are home and partying, scaring off the bandits scoping out the house.

The minute-long ad is only one way Google is trying to honor the “Home Alone” franchise.

There are also “Home Alone” Easter eggs on the Google Assistant; and the device will respond to certain classic lines from the film, such as, “How much do I owe you?” and “Hey Google, it’s me, Snakes. I got the stuff.”

Both lines are from “Angels with Filthy Souls,” a film-within-a-film created for “Home Alone.”

A young McCallister watches the mobster tale — and then uses audio from it to interact with both the bandits and a pizza delivery guy in one hilarious scene.

“Home Alone” was an $18 million film that went on to earn over $280 million at the box office.

A sequel quickly followed the original in 1992 and it earned over $170 million.

President Donald Trump also had a cameo in it — in an interesting side note.

There have since been three more sequels to “Home Alone,” none of which have starred Culkin.
