In a startling new video, a handful of Hollywood actresses declare their support for Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser.

Supreme Court Justice nominee Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual misconduct by Christine Blasey Ford, a California psychologist. She claims the alleged incident took place more than 30 years ago when the two were in high school.

Kavanaugh has vigorously denied the allegation from the moment it was made public and there is no official investigation on the matter at this time, although the accusations have interfered with the confirmation process and schedule.

Others have disputed the claim as well.

“We know how difficult it is to stand up to powerful people,” says Julianne Moore (shown above left) in the video.

“We want to thank you for publicly sharing your story of sexual violence,” “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Kelly McCreary adds.

The video was produced by the group MoveOn.

It includes other actresses such as Gabrielle Union, America Ferrera, Maria Tomei, and Eva Longoria (above right), as well as women described as being “from all walks of life,” as they all take turns reading from a joint letter addressed to Ford.

The women take aim at Kavanaugh and say he has no right to be confirmed as a justice on the nation’s highest court.

“He should not be confirmed,” say multiple people in the video, including Moore and Ferrera.

“You should be the decision maker in how your story is shared, if ever,” the video later says.

“We will be with you as you face the inevitable backlash,” the women continue.

“Millions of us have your back. You and your testimony are credible. We believe you.”

The video ends by asking people to call their senators and demand “a full, fair, and trauma-informed investigation.”

It’s difficult to know exactly what is being asked here — the celebrities say they want people to demand an investigation, but they also articulate that Ford is free to share her story publicly or not, whatever she wishes.

And what need is there for an investigation? These leftists have already taken a side.

They are already calling Ford’s claims “credible” and saying Kavanaugh has no right to be on the Supreme Court, despite that fact that Ford is shaky on the details of the alleged incident more than 35 years ago and that Kavanaugh has categorically denied such an incident.

The other person whom Ford said was in the room at the time at the house party, a man named Mark Judge, has also said he has no recollection of any such incident.

The partisan nature of the video and the “trial by public opinion” that’s on display here discounts any real good a video such as this might have accomplished.
