Mother Donates This Part of Her Body for ‘Transgender Pregnancy’ Project — Shocking

A mother of a daughter who has become a transgender man has donated her uterus to scientists at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Silvia Park’s gesture is reportedly part of an aim to help perfect a “uterine transplant” protocol for male-to-female transgender individuals to bear children, Cosmopolitan magazine reports.

This makes little sense, considering that her child transitioned from a female to a male. Confused yet?

“I was driving with my 16-year-old in the passenger seat about five years ago when he said, ‘I’m a boy,'” mom Silvia Park told Cosmopolitan. “The declaration was news to me — I was so shocked that initially, I didn’t know what to say. At the same time, I had no doubt my husband and I would support him as a transgender man — a person who transitions from a female birth assignment.”

The “him” to whom Park is referring was her daughter, born a girl.

“As a mother of two biological children and one stepchild, I’ve always believed that everyone should have the right to decide whether they want to carry a child, regardless of their gender,” Park said. “And I desperately wanted to contribute to the cause.”

Perhaps that is the crux of the matter: This mom wants to be a high-profile part of a movement and was willing to give up a part of her body to do so.

Her no-holds-barred attitude for undergoing the complex medical procedure seems convoluted at best, and has no direct bearing on her transgender son, who was assigned a female at birth, or “AFAB,” in trans parlance.

“I work in the medical industry as a medical coder and biller, but because I’m not a doctor or researcher, initially, I felt helpless,” she said in the article. “And then it dawned on me: I’ve already had two children and have no plans to carry another. I could donate my uterus.”

She added, “Although it wouldn’t go to a trans woman who wanted to have a baby, my donation could help doctors learn more about the procedure, and, I hoped, lead to another clinical trial that would give trans women the ability to conceive. Although it wouldn’t help my son directly — as a transgender man, he has a uterus, and probably won’t want to carry a child, anyway — it was something I could do now to potentially help the trans community of the future.”

Ironically, the recipient — a trans person born a biological male — ultimately has to have the organ removed if it successfully does its job. “All recipients require full hysterectomies after pregnancy, either during a C-section birth or in a separate surgery, to avoid ongoing risks,” said Cosmopolitan, noting the transplant is a complicated medical procedure for both donor and recipient.

Keep in mind: The medical need for this procedure is statistically insignificant. A 2017 University of California, Los Angeles study found that only some 0.7 percent of U.S. teenagers (ages 13-17) are authentically transgender.

Not surprisingly, Park’s seemingly blind altruism and public virtue-signaling is drawing criticism.

“We are living in an age of radical autonomy, a concept of autonomy so radical that it trumps reality itself,” Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians in Gainesville, Florida, recently told LifeZette. “This is the inevitable result of a post-Christian theological revolution.”

She added, “If God is dead, then all things are permissible.” Cretella is a mother, a pediatrician, and an expert on adolescent health. “Man himself becomes God and science becomes a tool to create reality according to his autonomous whims. Everything, morality and reality itself, becomes relative to those ideologues in power.”

And here’s another view on what is at the bottom of this need to redefine genders and even alter the human body: “At the most fundamental level, this constitutes rebellion against God and his created order,” Laurie Higgins, a mother and cultural issues writer for the Illinois Family Institute (IFI) in Tinley Park, Illinois, told LifeZette.

“It’s yet another manifestation of man’s desire to satiate disordered desires and to be like God, which are the desires that get humans into mess after mess. Some messes are worse than others — this is among the worst.”

Higgins also took aim at complacent believers. “Mix in the cowardice of Christians who should know, care about, and speak truth, but now stand largely silent while the bodies of men, women and children are being mutilated in Frankensteinian and futile experiments, and voilà, you get pregnant ‘men,’ fake mothers, and soon fake mothers with artificial wombs that just may kill them [referring to the high-risk surgery],” she said.
