A college in the province of New Brunswick, Canada, has announced its plan to launch a course on marijuana cultivation, which would prepare students to work at local companies that produce the drug, according to Fox News.
Michel Doucet, executive director of continuing education and customized learning at the French-language College Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, said the program will launch sometime next year.

The course comes at no surprise to some, as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ran on a campaign promising the legalization of recreational marijuana last year. The Canadian government says it will introduce legislation by the spring of 2017, according to Fox News.
The college has five campuses in New Brunswick, where the government has invested 4 million Canadian dollars in a medical marijuana company they say will create up to 208 jobs.
Ganja-loving students at the college may be disappointed to hear Doucet’s proclamation that “this is not a mainstream program.” Instead, he says, “We’re looking at training qualified employees to meet the needs of industry, versus training students at large.”

The school hasn’t yet released details surrounding the program, including class size and length, according to Fox News.
