A father and son visiting France from Texas were among those reportedly killed in the Nice, France, terror attack Thursday night.

WFTV named them as Sean Copeland and his 11-year-old son, Brodie Copeland.

The elder Copeland, 52, was from Austin, Texas, The Huffington Post reported. The State Department confirmed the deaths of two Americans.

At least 84 people were killed when a truck, clearly driven deliberately, plowed through a street full of revelers and tourists who were celebrating Bastille Day, the French national holiday.

Officials are calling the killing a terrorist attack, though a motive for the killing spree has as yet not been disclosed and no terror group has claimed responsibility thus far. The incident was the worst since a series of coordinated attacks across Paris killed 130 in November 2015 — and it is likely one of the deadliest rampages by a lone attacker, USA Today noted.

In a Facebook post about the two deceased Americans, the Hill Country Baseball club wrote in on Facebook, “You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. Rest in peace, Brodie and Sean, you will be remembered by many.”
