Bernie Sanders might not be able to earn enough delegates to block Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton from a clear path to the general election — but a criminal record sure could.

Clinton has been under scrutiny for over a year regarding the private email server she used during her tenure as Secretary of State, and now Judge Andrew Napolitano says the FBI has enough solid evidence to indict and convict her.

Hillary denies sending any emails that contained classified information or that put the nation’s security at risk, but FBI investigations have suggested that may not be true. Napolitano said he believes the evidence obtained by the FBI could have a “catastrophic effect” on Clinton’s candidacy.

“If the Democrats that run the Justice Department decide that she’s not going to be indicted because she’s about to become or will have become the Democratic nominee for president, can you imagine what the reaction will be? The FBI will release the evidence against her, much of which is already publicly known,” said  Napolitano.

However, “an indictment will be impossible without the backing of the Attorney General and the White House,” according to Law Newz.

“Another problem Democrats are facing is Clinton’s indictment after becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. It is unknown whether the result of the investigation will be released before a Democratic presidential nominee is determined,” reported The Inquisitr.

FBI Director Jim Comey told NBC News last month that the bureau is conducting investigations “well and promptly” and not based around the Democratic National Convention.

Comey said he wants to make sure they have “the resources, the people, the technology, and the space to do those things, and to do it in the way I hope we do all our work, which is competently, honestly, and independently.”

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) believes the Bureau could still intervene in the future of Hillary’s political career, if they don’t indict her first.

“Is there going to be political interference? If there’s enough evidence to prosecute, will there be political interference?” Grassley reportedly asked at a meeting with a Des Moines rotary club. “And if there’s political interference, then I assume that somebody in the FBI is going to leak these reports and it’s either going to have an effect politically or it’s going to lead to prosecution if there’s enough evidence.”
