According to a poll conducted by the New York Times/Siena College, a staggering amount of Democrat voters aren’t excited about President Joe Biden running for re-election in 2024. While there has been no announcement made, President Biden has been vocal about his intentions to run again. The poll found that 64% believed there should be another candidate other than Amtrak Joe. Wanting to get the President’s thoughts on the news, a reporter decided to ask him. And it should come as no surprise, that the reporter found themselves being yelled out by President Biden.

After attending the White House Congressional Picnic, the President was approached by a reporter and asked, “Mr. President, what’s your message to Democrats who don’t want you to run again?”

President Biden confronted the report, declaring, “They want me to run. Read the polls. Read the polls, Jack! You guys are all the same. That poll showed that 92% of Democrats if I ran would vote for me.”

Looking at the same poll, 64% of Democratic voters said they would vote for President Biden for re-election, but that doesn’t mean they wanted him to. One of the main concerns growing among Democrats is Biden’s age. A liberal activist group RootsAction announced they would campaign against Biden being re-elected.

In a statement released by RootsAction, the group wrote, “Unfortunately, President Biden has been neither bold nor inspiring. And his prospects for winning re-election appear to be bleak. With so much at stake, making him the Democratic Party’s standard-bearer in 2024 would be a tragic mistake.”

It wasn’t all bad news for President Biden. In a mock election, if he were to run again, against former President Donald Trump – he would surprisingly win 44% to 41%. But for voters like Kelly King, a registered Democrat, Biden must take responsibility for the economic crisis. “I feel like he hasn’t really spoken much about it. He hasn’t done what I think he’s capable of doing as president to help the American people. As a Democrat, I figured he would really be on our side and put us back on the right track. And I just feel like he’s not.”
