Joe Rogan, the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, recently shared his thoughts on what he believes President Joe Biden should do to help the Democrats win in the upcoming elections. However, his suggestions are unlikely to be something the president would be on board with.

During an episode of his show, Rogan commented on President Biden’s age and leadership abilities. “The fact that he’s running again is so wild when you watch him talk,” he said. “The fact [is] that there’s no leadership that can find a solution to this, ‘cause there really is no solution. Like, what are they gonna do? Other than Biden dying, like, very soon, and then someone stepping up in a big way that makes sense.”

Comedian Dave Smith, who was a guest on the show, also commented on President Biden’s age and health, saying that it is not beyond the realm of possibility that he might pass away soon. “He’s older than the average life expectancy, I believe, already. Not saying he will die, but that is possible.”

Rogan continued his commentary by suggesting that there might be powerful people in a boardroom somewhere trying to figure out how to get Biden out of office. “I could just imagine there’s a boardroom with, like, very powerful people meeting, who, they’re like, ‘OK, we’re getting him out. What’s the plan? Like, how do we do this?’ And I think they just cannot come up with one,” he said.

Meanwhile, President Biden is losing support among Hispanic voters, which could make his re-election campaign more challenging. According to POLITICO, the president’s website launched a Spanish-language version of its launch page last week, but it had multiple mistakes and underwent several edits before settling on a final version two days later.

Many people point to the fact that President Biden announced Julie Chávez Rodríguez, a Latina, as his 2024 campaign manager, as a sign that he is serious about reaching out to Hispanic voters. However, there are still concerns about how he will adjust his re-election campaign after struggling to recruit 65% of the Latino vote in the 2020 election.

Jess Morales Rocketto, chief of Moonshot Strategies at Equis Research and a former digital organizing director for Hillary Clinton, emphasized the importance of bilingual outreach in presidential campaigns. She cited Bernie Sanders’ 2020 campaign as a successful example of using intentional Spanish language to engage with Latino voters.

According to Giancarlo Sopo, a Republican communications strategist who worked on translations for former President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign, the Biden campaign’s Hispanic operation is “still a mess.” He pointed to word-for-word mistranslations as evidence that the Biden campaign is not serious about going after the Hispanic vote.

As President Biden launches his re-election campaign, there are doubts about whether he will be able to replicate the multiracial excitement of the previous election. His favorability has dropped across the board since last year, falling nearly 30 points among Latinos in some polls. The stakes are high for President Biden, and he will need to work hard to connect with the Latino electorate if he hopes to win in the upcoming elections.
