The Biden administration has put America in a rather interesting position when it comes to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, not to mention Joe Biden’s recent statement about China possibly invading Taiwan. Having always stood beside Ukraine, giving billions in aid to fight Russian President Vladimir Putin, recently, Biden announced he would send troops to Taiwan if China decided to invade the area. With numerous countries at odds with each other and tensions mounting, former President Donald Trump not only warned about the makings of World War III but also offered to help discuss a peace deal with Russia.

Before announcing his offer, Donald Trump spoke with 77 WABC radio about some of the issues that keep him up at night. The Republican answered, “I think more than anything else, I think we could end up in World War III and it could be all of the horrible things that took place in Ukraine. Looks like it’s going to happen in China with Taiwan, as you know, and you see what’s going on over there.” Trump added, “I think we’re at the most dangerous time maybe in, in many, many years — maybe ever — because of the power of nuclear. For a major nation that’s equal with us on nuclear power to be throwing around the word cavalierly, like nuclear, is, is a very bad time. A very bad time for this country and a very bad and a very dangerous time for the world.”

Donald Trump insisted that if he was President, Putin would not have invaded Ukraine. “I got along with him very well. I spoke to him. I understood him. He understood me, probably. But I understood him well, and he would have never done it.”

Donald Trump spent 20 minutes talking on the radio show, and not once did he mention Joe Biden’s name, which is in stark contrast to Biden himself, who only speaks for a few minutes, is encouraged to speak to what’s on the teleprompter or notes, and heavily focuses on Trump as a talking point. It wasn’t long afterward that the former President took to social media, writing, “U.S. Leadership should remain cool, calm, and dry on the SABOTAGE of the Nord Stream Pipelines. This is a big event that should not entail a big solution, at least not yet. The Russia/Ukraine catastrophe should NEVER have happened, and would definitely not have happened if I were President. Do not make matters worse with the pipeline blow-up. Be strategic, be smart (brilliant!), get a negotiated deal done NOW. Both sides need and want it. The entire World is at stake. I will head up group!!!”

While offering his expertise, the Biden administration will most likely not take him up on the offer. But online users seemed to think it was a good idea. “President Trump would have been much more engaged in negotiations to resolve these issues.”
