According to a report featured in The Gateway Pundit, Facebook has deemed the sharing of photos of Cousin T’s pancake mix as somehow being racist – leading some social media users wondering if the Facebook violation has to do with the owner of the brand (who is a black man) being prominently displayed on the pancake mix box.

If there was anything learned throughout the hot mess that was 2020, it’s that just about anything can be misconstrued or deemed racist – including ads and brand icons.

In 2020, famous brands like Uncle Ben’s were sanitized so as to remove the black man featured on their packaging, with Land O’Lakes following suit by removing the Native American woman from their packaging.

But one brand icon that particularly stuck out in the erasure effort of 2020 was Aunt Jemima, with the over 130-year-old well-known character accompanied by said brand name actually being based on a real woman by the name of Nancy Green.

In light of iconic black figures now missing from the likes of rice and pancake mix packaging, comedian Terrence K. Williams decided to usher in his own brand of pancake mix dubbed “Cousin T’s” in late 2021, slapping his own mug on the box and proudly affirming it as the brand “that can’t be cancelled.”

Overall, the brand has sold surprisingly well and continues to scale upward, all the while as serving as a lighthearted snub to leftists who decried black figures being present on nationwide consumables.

Yet on September 4th, Williams had learned that Facebook has been “flagging accounts” who’ve been buying and/or sharing photos of his pancake mix – and even his own Facebook account has been restricted.

“So according to Facebook, my Pancakes are racist! I’m on 90-day restriction, and now they are also flagging accounts for buying or sharing pictures of my Pancake Mix. This is absolutely crazy, and it has everything to do with me being MAGA! I won’t apologize for it. Anyways go load up on some ‘racist’ Pancakes.”

Williams accompanied the Instagram post explaining the matter with screenshots of some who’ve posted about getting landed in Facebook “jail” for sharing photos of the black-owned pancake mix brand.

Williams shared a Facebook Live video addressing the conundrum, acknowledging that the reach of said video would be limited due to Facebook restricting his account. The comedian expressed his frustration with Facebook threatening to terminate his account that has amassed millions of followers, with him believing that it has everything to do with him being a MAGA Republican.

“I’m not happy right now. Facebook is threatening to delete my account in 90 days! If I don’t behave. Why are they coming for me? All I do is make people laugh and sell pancakes.

“All I do is make people laugh. Is behaving – does that mean being nice to Joe Biden? Does that mean being nice to Kamala Harris? They want me to behave. Then they said the independent fact checker said that all I do is post fake news. I tell jokes. How are you gonna fact-check a joke?”
