While considered to be a rising media star according to The New York Times, not everybody appears to love Tomi Lahren, given her conservative views and hosting Tomi on The Blaze. Gaining a sizable following, Lahren has been touring around the country, giving speeches at certain colleges that welcome her. Recently, she traveled to the University of New Mexico to speak to the Turning Point USA chapter at the school. Although known to draw some protesters, during her time on campus, police had to protect her from an angry mob of activists who sought to force her to leave the university.

Sharing her recollection of the events and the mob that targeted her, Tomi Lahren wrote on Twitter, “Campus terrorists showed up at my @UNM speech tonight, and UNM did not care. They shoved officers and tried to bust down the door to the speech room. These colleges are unbelievable. They don’t care about the safety of conservative students or guests. Sickening.”

The political commentator added on Instagram, “State police had to be called to my speech tonight at UNM after rapid and repulsive liberals tried to break down the door and attack me and the speech-goers. Apparently, University of New Mexico is unbothered by the abhorrent and violent behavior of its students. Thank you to all the patriots who stood strong and supported me despite the animals outside. Thank you to the law enforcement officers who got me out safely. Thank you to @turningpointunm for hosting me. God bless and take care.”

According to Red State, “Lahren, her father, and several members of the TPUSA chapter were barricaded in a back room in the student union for 45 minutes while campus police called in reinforcements from the Albuquerque Police Department and the New Mexico State Police, according to an Instagram Live video Lahren posted shortly after getting to safety. Turning Point officials confirmed Lahren’s account and provided video from TPUSA chapter members exclusively to RedState.”

The news outlet continued, “Lahren’s appearance had been advertised by the group for weeks, and, as usually happens, the anti-free speech/anti-free thought crowd made their displeasure known and threatened to protest. In her video, Lahren said she’d heard rumblings about a protest but thought it would be the normal.”

Those same activists terrorizing Tomi Lahren and the local police celebrated their actions, with one posting, “We kicked Tomi Lahren out of the University of Mexico campus, and it took less than an hour of disruption. It’s our duty to shut down white supremacist organizing every chance we get.” The individual ended the praise with, “F**k Tomi Lauren. F**k White Supremacy.”

Following the words that were also uttered by Joe Biden, it should be noted that the activist might have praised the efforts of other protesters but found it hard to spell Tomi Lahren’s name right.
