Although there has yet to be a decision made pertaining to the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade, liberal activists and Democrats have already voiced their disdain and started protesting in D.C. At the same time, there were claims that right-wing groups might be planning to attack protestors. On CNN, Alex Marquardt stated, “CNN has learned that the U.S. Capitol police are bracing for large demonstrations that are being organized by far-right groups to protest abortion rights.” But while the mainstream media has used the right-wing as a boogeyman over the last few years, a pro-life organization based in Wisconsin was set on fire Sunday morning.

Located in Madison, the Wisconsin Family Action was attacked by a group that hurled Molotov cocktails through the windows. Luckily, none of the weapons were able to catch the building on fire. At the same time the building was being attacked, graffiti was painted on a wall, reading, “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.”

Giving a statement, Democrat Governor Tony Evers condemned the violence and called for citizens to discuss their issues instead of resorting to violence. “We condemn violence and hatred in all forms, including the actions at Wisconsin Family Action in Madison last night. We reject violence against any person for disagreeing with another’s view.  Violence is not the way forward. Hurting others is never the answer.”

The Governor was sure to add, “We will work against overturning Roe and attacks on reproductive rights by leading with empathy and compassion. We will defend what we believe in with our words and our voices—in the streets, in halls of government, and at the ballot box. In Wisconsin, we must lead by example.”

Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch also chimed in, stating, “The radicals are trying to stop us but they know we won’t be intimidated from defending life.”

Republican candidate Kevin Nicholson also criticized the violence but blamed it on the Biden administration. He tweeted, “Disgusting behavior from the left. @JoeBiden has already refused to condemn it and both @GovEvers and @JoshKaulWI have shown they want to enforce mob rule and further degrade law & order in Wisconsin. This has to stop. @GovEvers cannot be silent.”
