Apparently, and not all that surprising, President Joe Biden’s speech in Poland raised a few eyebrows when he went off script and admitted, ”We will have a different future—a brighter future rooted in democracy and principle; hope and light, decency and dignity; of freedom of possibilities. For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power”. Following his fiery words, Moscow spokesperson Dmitry Peskov claimed that the Kremlin took notice of the statement and will continue to keep tabs on President Biden. On Sunday, after the White House tried explaining Biden’s action, a fuel depot in the city of Lviv was destroyed by Russians using long-range missiles. And who better to have on the ground, at the scene, informing the American people than CNN’s own Don Lemon?

That’s right, as Russian defense ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said, “The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue offensive actions as part of the special military operation” Lemon was standing behind caution tape. At the same time, the flames erupted around the fuel depot. But what made the entire scene strange was how Lemon was wearing AirPods while fashioned in combat gear. Take a look.

It should be noted that Lemon might be the focus of the video, but take notice of the citizens standing around him. Not a single one is wearing any sort of gear resembling Lemon, and some are even filming the flames on their phone. Also, a few aren’t even behind the tape that is keeping Lemon safe. To make it worse, Lemon was confused as to why a fuel depot would be a target in the first place. The ministry said it hit the fuel depot and a plant in the city that was helping repair radar stations, tanks, and anti-aircraft systems.

While the motives behind the strike dumbfounded the now war correspondent, he did give insightful information about chemical fires. Still, users online were overcome with the theatrics of it all. One user said, “CNN lies and loves to pump out “live in fear” then they lie again. Kinda silly. He is the ONLY one with all the helmet and vest on out of all those ppl around.. guess the threat is only bad for him?”

Commenting on his expertise in war strategy, another one wrote, “Wow, yeah, I can’t imagine any reason to take out an enemy fuel depot either, Don.”

Others noted, “don lemon wears that helmet, not due to war, but to protect him from falling down,” “Looks like a “mostly peaceful protest,” and simply, “such an idiot.”

“He looks positively goofy… like a kid dressing up in Dad’s old war helmet.” – Missy Crane
