Border Patrol agents are on the front line of the illegal immigration crisis. What help are they getting from their bosses? Nada.
FNC: “A spat between Border Patrol agents and their chief during a visit by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is the latest sign of tensions between agents and the Biden administration — whose policies many agents believe are stopping them from keeping the border secure.
U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz was involved in a tense back and forth with agents in Laredo, Texas, Friday, as Mayorkas visited the area. In video shared with Fox News by a Border Patrol source, Ortiz confirmed that ‘morale is at an all-time low.’ Ortiz acknowledged agents’ frustration, with Mayorkas in the room.”

“I get it,” Ortiz said. “You come to work, you’re frustrated. You’re upset because you didn’t get the desired outcome that you want. Doesn’t mean you give up.” Other agents echoed the anger of the majority. “You keep releasing criminal aliens into the country,” they said.
Ortiz tried to change the subject by asking them, “Why are you guys getting caught up in semantics? … I’ve been doing this job as long as y’all.”
“That’s the problem, chief,” one agent interjected. “For evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. That’s exactly what’s happening here. Good men are doing nothing. You’re allowing illegal aliens to be dropped off in communities.” Then Mayorkas stepped in.
“The job has not gotten any easier over the last few months, and it was very, very difficult throughout 2021,” Mayorkas told the agents, according to Townhall. “I know apprehending families and kids is not what you signed up to do. And now we got a composition that is changing even more with Cubans, Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, and the like, it just gets more difficult…I know the policies of this administration are not particularly popular with U.S. Customs and Border Protection,” Mayorkas added, in an implicit indictment of his own performance and that of the Biden administration.
“I’ve never seen anything like that where Border Patrol agents are pushing back so aggressively on their leadership,” former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf said on “Cavuto Live.”
“And I think what is probably most striking from that video, which is if you can see in the background the DHS secretary is standing right there. He does not address any of these concerns from the Border Patrol agents. There’s no vision,” he said. “There’s no leadership. He knows he cannot talk to these agents and defend what is going down on the border because of the policies of this administration.”
“Secretary Mayorkas’s priority for this trip is to meet directly with the workforce to hear about their experiences and address their needs,” a DHS spokesperson said. But he wasn’t expecting overt candor, frustration, and anger. He got them in droves.

The leadership of the Border Patrol is typical of all of Biden’s appointments. They are total disasters. The leadership is incompetent from the head down. It is rotting our agencies. Think Biden.
Why is a foreign-born Hispanic in charge of the border? And why is a Hispanic running Health and Human services, and another the Small business Administration? Does anybody detect a trend with all the “undocumented” people flowing in and then flown all around the country/ Except to Delaware.
Why the HELL IS a foreign born in charge of the cabinet that controls the borders?
What should be even more concerning to all good Americans is that agents are leaving the service in droves or getting lateral transfers to other governmental services. Anymore I am not sure if this is what the radical administration is really gearing towards. Brandon and crew are never to be trusted for border security and security of our nation. IDK why those rather stupid AHs are still in power. Perhaps someone might attempt to explain it to me, but I seriously doubt that. For good men to do nothing. Well, that’s what is happing because good men are sitting on our butts doing little to nothing to save our republic. Rallies are not going to save us; we are capable of doing it ourselves.
Mayorkas is just another stooge put in place by Biden. Not qualified for this job, but Biden has diversity
Complaining does very little although it must be cleansing to the agents to let him have it. Point is, Mayorkas WANTS illegals coming across. He isn’t stupid, he is carrying out the policies he and the WH believe. If they contradict American law, they don’t care. Ends justify the means to these guys. It is a bedrock feature of America, or was, that laws are laws and if you don’t like them, get them changed legally through Congress. If you can’t, it doesn’t mean you can ignore them anyway, but unfortunately in America today, it does. Circling the drain.
Go on strike or sign deal with TX NM AZ states ignore Mayorkas
The problem is not just Mayorkas, he’s a known political hack, but with Chief Ortiz as well for trying to provide cover for the Administration’s guy and yes his boss. As the agent said “when good people do nothing”. The Biden Administration is aiding and abetting criminal activity, crossing our border illegally is a crime.
