WASHINGTON, DC – Fox News’ Peter Doocy put White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on the spot through a series of questions that challenged the Biden administration’s messaging regarding COVID and promises made by the administration with respect to testing availability.

Doocy informed Psaki that he had just wrapped up an isolation period following a COVID diagnosis and shared his criticisms over the lack of testing for COVID available near him at the time while pointing to how President Biden was telling the public to simply “Google COVID test near me.”

“I was home all last week isolating…with covid after a positive test like a lot of people watching – and a lot of time in front of the TV – heard the president say… ‘Google COVID test near me.’ So, somebody isolating with COVID, I did that, and the appointments everywhere were completely jammed. So why is it that you guys were so unprepared for the need for testing after the holidays?”

Psaki’s only response to the inquiry was that COVID had been surging across the country while also claiming that the Biden administration had “quadrupled our testing capacity” since the past summer – while also pointing to testing capabilities a year earlier and how much they’ve grown since then.

Doocy once again pointed to his earlier criticism of the administration being ill-prepared, despite President Biden having delivered ominous warnings publicly about how bad winter would be with respect to COVID.

“The tests you’re talking about, though, require people to go somewhere and either make an appointment or wait in line. The CDC’s guidance is if you think you have COVID, you’re supposed to stay home. You guys said you were gonna mail free tests to people that need them – the president’s there on television talking about a winter of severe illness and death. While he’s saying that publicly, why weren’t you guys doing more to prepare for the winter?”

Psaki’s response simply highlighted that the administration is working on “expanding access to free tests to make it easy and more accessible.” Without missing a beat, Doocy again reiterated the point that the Biden administration hyped the COVID winter fear without delivering the needed testing for that same winter, adding that these tests likely won’t be delivered until spring.

“But the president talked about a winter of severe illness and death – at the rate you guys are going, these tests are not going to be available until spring. So will you admit that these free tests you guys promised are not going to be ready until after the Omicron surge?”

The White House press secretary responded that she “gave an update earlier that we’ll have tests out the door in the coming weeks,” adding that tests coming in the mail are “not the only place people can get tests” for COVID.

The Fox News White House correspondent touched on a litany of other topics that questioned the current administration’s response to the COVID-ridden winter season, their reliance on the postal service, and even the administration’s stance on “misinformation” that was recently pedaled by a Supreme Court Justice.
