Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera, who has been vocal over the past year about shaming those who haven’t taken the COVID jab, recently admitted on an episode of “The Five” to having taken a serving of “humble pie” – as he managed to still get COVID despite being jabbed and boosted.

Back in July of 2021, Rivera was among those championing the idea of othering individuals who hadn’t succumbed to the demands of those pushing the COVID jab, taking to Twitter with a position of “No Vaccine, no work, no school, no in-person shopping. You have a right not to be vaccinated. I have the right to protect my kids.”

Days after that Twitter post, Rivera said on “The Five” that the COVID vaccine was “bulletproof against this damn disease” and went into a rant after that, adding, “If you are unvaccinated and you are going around without being tested, you are an arrogant, selfish SOB.”

Come October of last year, Rivera was at it again on Twitter, saying that he has “zero tolerance for anti-Vaxers. Most of all, I detest vaccinated dick heads who urge the unvaccinated to ‘fight for their freedom,’ the mob urging the man on a ledge to jump.”

Yet, on January 4th, Rivera confirmed on Twitter that he’d tested positive for COVID “Despite two shots of Moderna +Pfizer booster.” During a subsequent appearance on “The Five,” Rivera admitted to the matter being an instance where he was served up some “humble pie.”

“You know, I am vaccinated – two Moderna shots then boosted with the Pfizer booster. You know, I thought for sure that I was immune. I’ve been very hard on the unvaccinated. As data suggests, I eat some humble pie in that regard because when I went to Key West, Florida, with my family on vacation, and guess what?

I came back with a scratchy throat. I insisted that I didn’t need a test because I was vaccinated and boosted. Then Erica, my wife, insisted, so a couple of days – by the time we finally got the appointment – I take the test. Erica is negative and, I am positive. It was shocking to me – in some ways embarrassing.”
