The father who contacted President Joe Biden on Christmas Eve and closed the call with “Let’s Go Brandon” has stated that he is thinking about running for office.

During an interview on “The Todd Starnes Show” on Tuesday, Jared Schmeck, an Oregon citizen and former police officer, revealed the news.

In response to being asked to run for office, Schmeck said, “I want to pray about it, see what God has for me.”

He continued, “At the end of the day, I want His will for my life and the direction that it goes. And I strongly believe that standing up is the right thing to do here as long as that message that I’m portraying is glorifying His name. And yeah, I’ll see where it goes.”

On December 24, Schmeck’s phone call with Biden became viral after his “Let’s Go Brandon” shout-out inspired the president to say, “Let’s go Brandon.” “I concur.”

Many Americans thought the headline’s parody of the original “F*** Joe Biden” quote amusing. Schmeck’s joke was panned by liberal groups and Democrats.

Rep. Eric Swalwell tweeted, “Don’t waste your time on the pathetic dad who humiliated his family to say F-U to the president on Christmas Eve. He’s irrelevant. Spend your time asking why Republican leaders are celebrating him. This isn’t my parents’ Republican Party. This new crew are indecent to their core.”

As a result of the call, several threats were made against Schmeck. He added, “At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden, but I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job. I mean no disrespect to him.”
