Those who have studied the issue of the JFK assassination seem to come down into one of three camps. The first, that Oswald was alone responsible. The second, that it was a vast conspiracy involving everyone from Texas oil men to the CIA, to LBJ, to the Kennedy family itself, etc. Third and most likely, it was a straight up mob hit. Why is this the likely explanation?

Joe Kennedy, the president’s father, had mob ties going back to his days as a bootlegger. He paid off mob bosses like Sam Giancana to steal votes for his son in the 1960 Democrat primaries and in the general election, thus enabling John Kennedy to steal the race away from rightful winner Richard Nixon.

But there was a catch. The Kennedy administration was supposed to go easy on the mob. But Attorney General Bobby Kennedy didn’t get the memo. Bobby had it in for the mob since the 50s. Now with the power of the Department of Justice in his hands, he could really hurt them. Kennedy family insiders warned him off this course of action. Bobby ignored them. Well, you don’t double cross guys like Sam Giancana and not pay a price.

The mob had worked with the CIA, with Kennedy approval, in an effort to kill Castro. Kennedy wanted Castro gone for the sake of national security. The mob wanted their Cuban casinos back. Thus the mob came into contact with a lot of bit players on the periphery of the intelligence world. These men, and their mob pals, knew how to stage a hit. They executed one that day in Dallas then had one of their own, a nightclub owner, keep the case murky forever.

Why do the feds want this stuff kept opaque? Not because of their involvement in the Kennedy hit, which there was none, but because of their very direct involvement with the mob during operations against Castro.

Thus the declassification of these documents doesn’t mean a thing. The facts and the obvious relationships, motives, and opportunity, have been there for all to see for decades.

FNC: “The National Archives and Records Administration on Wednesday released nearly 1,500 confidential documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The government agency released the files via their website. Historians, political scholars and believers in a wide range of theories about Kennedy’s assassination immediately began poring over the documents. Many of the documents relate to Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. Many files also reference tensions between the United States and Cuba, evaluating statements from leader Fidel Castro that allude to the possibility of Kennedy being in danger due to escalating aggression between the two nations.”
