What To Do With Trump?

It's a roll of the dice.

The 45th president seems to epitomize that old cliche: Can’t live with him, can’t live without him.”

On one hand he’s probably too divisive, too egomaniacal, too radioactive to ever win a national election again. In 2016 the political climate was perfect for him, as was the opposition. But the weather has changed and time has moved on.

On the other hand Republicans can’t win a national election without his support. If his acolytes stay home on election day that cuts Republican margins at least in half. That would make them non-electable in a lot of races, just not the presidency.

So Tom Emmer, the hero of the 2020 House races, has come up with a solution that a lot of us are also employing in conversations with Trumpist associates. Indirectly disdain the man, love his administration.

His tenure in office was a triumph in most areas. Trade, national security, the economy, all prospered when he was president. And they still might be prospering but for his inane bluster and rampaging id. Emmer and other Republicans are hoping voters can tell the difference between the man and his policies. If he runs and wins the nomination that gives them a way to support the resumption of his successes. If he doesn’t run or runs and loses, that gives them a way to show Trumpists they didn’t turn and run, completely. Either way, Trump has leverage. Lots of it.

Are you embarrassed that Joe Biden is our "president"?

FNC: “As Rep. Tom Emmer touted the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) robust third quarter fundraising figures, the House GOP reelection chair emphasized that ‘voters are ready to fire Nancy Pelosi and hold the failed Biden Administration accountable.’

The Minnesota Republican has repeatedly emphasized this year that Republican voters are energized to take back the House of Representatives in the 2022 midterm elections, when the GOP needs a net gain of just five seats in the 435-member chamber to recapture the majority they lost in the 2018 midterms. Emmer made his latest comments on Wednesday as he took questions from reporters. But a day earlier, former President Trump predicted in a statement that ‘if we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ’24.’ ”

Trump’s statement comes as he continues to make unfounded claims that his 2020 election loss to now-President Biden was due to a ‘rigged’ election rampant with ‘massive voter fraud,’ and who’s pushing partisan election audits in states across the country.”

Asked about Trump’s comments, Emmer answered that “the former president, he’s a private citizen.. he of course, is entitled to his own opinion.” But then he reversed course. “We’re honored that the president is going to headline our fall dinner. He remains the biggest draw in our party. We’re happy he’s helping our efforts to fire Nancy Pelosi…We’re going to continue to highlight the polices of the Trump administration. They were incredibly popular and they continue to be incredibly popular.” Can’t win with him. Can’t win without him.

Emmer is a dolt, a typical RINO, we need someone who is not afraid of kicking butt when needed. These nay sayers should keep their yaps shut and let real leaders who love America lead us back from the shithole country we are becoming. Ship all these Marxists to China or Russia and see what EQUITY and not Equality looks like.

The author still doesn’t seem to “get it” as to why Trump won to begin with. Apparently his election being somewhat of a fluke.

Among this group, that peculiarity seems to be born or some belief, that those who voted for Trump, really didn’t want this nation to go to the right. Oh no, we really want to keep going to the left…but just not as fast as Obama and his communist thugs wanted to take us.

I don’t know where that line of reasoning comes from, but it is prevalent among the establishment Republicans. No thanks. I quit playing that game long ago, and did not vote for a single Republican from 2006 up until Trump ran…and all of my representatives were Republicans. Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander should be sufficient names of explanation to my position. If they aren’t, then it only serves to prove my original point of not “getting it”.

I will NOT vote for another squish Republican, just to vote against a Democrat. If I can’t enthusiastically support the Republican, they don’t get my vote. Period. That doesn’t mean I have to agree with them on everything. I understand how unrealistic a standard that is to apply. But, they do have to at least be in the same ballpark with me on the issues which are important to me. I don’t think that’s asking too much. Speaking only for myself, Trump wasn’t just in the ballpark with me, he was on the infield on many issues.

For those who believe Trump was an embarrassment, I’d like to introduce you to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

David Kamonier !!!! …. When did you learn to TALK SUCH GARBAGE ABOUT THE LEGITIMATELY ELECTED 45TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ???!!!! Wake up and ‘smell the coffee’ !!! If you don’t have Sufficient Insight to realize that the 2020 Presidential Election was RIGGED IN AT LEAST THE 6 SWING STATES then don’t make it so obvious by writing such NONSENSE ….

Donald Trump is a PROUD US PATRIOT and someone who wants to, above all
else, BRING TRUE FREEDOM BACK TO EACH AND EVERY LEGITIMATE CITIZEN OF THE USA ….. FREEDOM in the True Sense of the word ….. the FREEDOM that the Founding Fathers wanted for their country and its peoples and which they IMMERSED AND ENSHRINED WITHIN THE USA’s UNIQUE CONSTITUTION !!!!

If you’re not able to comprehend or perceive that then you obviously have
your head firmly in the clouds!!!!

Is that better Mr. Editor ???

  1. Mr Kamioner, you say “…[Trump is] probably too divisive, too egomaniacal, too radioactive to ever win a national election again” but there is absolutely nothing we have heard seen, read, or smelled that looks anything, anything that makes him unelectable–on the contrary everything from respectable analysts suggests that he would win if he ran in 2024, although I would not blame him if he chose not to run, what with the viciousness of the libs/lefties/”progressives”/Democrat goons.
  2. I don’t know who Sahil Kapur is, and I’m not going to bother looking him up because he attempts to distort what Trump said. Trump said “If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020…Republicans will not be voting in ’22 or ’24” and we agree with that. But Kapur says “Trump just threatened to have Republican voters stay home in 2022 and 2024″–nonsense, just NOSENSE.

So why did you, Mr Kamioner, WHY, did you bother publishing Kapur’s nonsense?? Why? I’d love to read your explanation of that very serious flub of yours.
