New York might have gotten rid of Governor Andrew Cuomo as he still faces multiple sexual harassment claims that he says are false, but that just means the state is now in the hands of Democrat Kathy Hochul. While there might not be much known about Hochul, the new Governor didn’t take long to make her presence known as on Sunday, during mass, she decided to tell Christians who might not be vaccinated that they “aren’t listening to God.”

While attending mass in the Bronx, Hochul used the time to promote her own vaccine mandate which took effect on Monday. She said, “Yes, I know you’re vaccinated, you’re the smart ones, but you know, there are people out there who aren’t listening to God and what God wants. You know, this, you know who they are.”

Governor Hochul didn’t stop there as she continued to promote the vaccine, even calling on her apostles. “I need you to be my apostles, I need you to go out and talk about it and say, we owe this to each other. We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another. And how do you show that love, but to care about each other enough to say, please get vaccinated because I love you. I want you to live.”

Shortly after Hochul’s comments went viral, New York radio host Bob Lonsberry responded, “So, when God wants to say something about vaccines, he has Democrats speak for him? Who does he go to when he wants to say something about abortion?”

As for her vaccine mandate, Hochul admitted on Saturday that finding workers who are willing to get the vaccine won’t be hard. She said she could “declare a State of Emergency that seeks to increase workforce supply and allow qualified health care professionals licensed in other states or countries, recent graduates, retired and formerly practicing health care professionals to practice in New York State.”

Just last week, a judge extended a ban, put in place by Governor Hochul, for any health care worker seeking an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine mandate due to religious reasons.
