Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany spoke out this week to blame Joe Biden and his administration for “vaccine hesitancy.”

“The biggest contributor to vaccine hesitancy is the Joe Biden administration,” McEnany said, according to Yahoo News. “This talk of mandates, Dr. Fauci being all over the map on masks – first it’s one, then it’s two, then it’s zero if you’re vaccinated, now we’re back to one – this contributes to people having distrust of the federal government.”

McEnany went on to say that data on the Delta variant was “leaked by the deep state and the CDC” and that the Biden administration was interested only in “sacrificing our children at the altar of the teachers union.”

“They should be consistent but consistent with the science,” she said.

This came a week after McEnany told Fox News that Biden is “tiptoeing” towards “Orwellian” vaccine mandates in this country.

“We’re in a different stage of the pandemic now,” she said. “We don’t need mandates, we don’t need masks. People are getting vaccinated.”

“Mandates are clearly what’s next,” McEnany added. “You had the CDC director go on with Bret Baier and suggest that maybe we’d have a vaccine mandate—then she went and cleaned that up but look they’re slowly tiptoeing in that direction with Joe Biden yesterday tacitly approving of the New York [City] mandate that you have to be vaccinated to eat in a restaurant. This is ridiculous, it’s Orwellian, it’s dictatorial, but we are heading down that road. Make no mistake, he’s tiptoeing there.”

Last month, McEnany attacked the Biden administration for pushing Facebook to censor content.

“I hear a lot of things in the White House press briefings that I take issue with (or I know it’s a deception or not a truthful matter in what’s being spun to us) like saying Republicans want to defund the police, but I literally almost fell out of my chair when I heard an admission from the podium that they are working with social media companies to censor,” she said.

“This is the crux, Jason, of the lawsuit put forward by President Trump (that class action lawsuit),” McEnany continued. “He says social media is colluding with the government and thus becoming state actors and trampling on the First Amendment. People said ‘Oh no, that’s crazy. President Trump, that’s crazy.’ It was admitted from the podium and then doubled down on today.”
