You’d think we might get a break at Christmas. That the horrible bores and buttinskies of the Left would go off into their lairs and mutter bah humbug as they get drunk on cheap Chardonnay.

But no such luck. They are out and about looking for something to be offended by. Yes, as always, those who loudly proclaim to be the most tolerant are generally the most bitter intolerant people you will ever meet. That’s because their tolerance is a one way street. The rest of us have to be tolerant of them. But, as for tolerance towards us? No need for it, as they are our obvious moral superiors. Uh huh. Yeah, right.

Well, a couple in Minnesota got a taste of leftist tolerance when some PC scold tried to get them to take down their Christmas lights. Now first of all, the things are quite secular. Mary and Joseph did not string up multicolored flashing bulbs around the manger. So it’s not exactly indicative of faith, but of a general season of goodwill. And there’s the rub. The Left despises goodwill, as it is against their very nature.

FNC: “St. Anthony, Minnesota resident Kim Hunt received an anonymous letter from a neighbor on Monday chastising she and her husband for their Christmas light display.

‘I couldn’t help but notice your Christmas light display. During these unprecedented times, we have all experienced challenges which casual words just don’t describe what we’re feeling. The idea of twinkling, colorful lights are a reminder of divisions that continue to run through our society, a reminder of systemic biases against our neighbors who don’t celebrate Christmas or who can’t afford to put up lights of their own,’ the letter, shared by Crime Watch Minneapolis, reads. ‘We must do the work of educating ourselves about the harmful impact an outward facing display like yours can have. ‘ ”

“The lights give me joy after coming home from work as a nurse working with COVID,” Hunt said. “I wish we could all celebrate diversity and honor everyone’s traditions…it’s a sad statement that Christmas lights have to be a target…We need to be inclusive of everyone, and let’s face it, a lot of people put up holiday lights or decorate their homes for other occasions to bring beauty and happiness to what can be a very ugly world,” Hunt said.

Even sports figures came to Hunt’s defense, as former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Derek Anderson said, “Saw this coming a long time ago. ‘If I can’t have it nobody can’ or ‘if they have it we all deserve it’ that’s not life.”

Another Twitter user called out the irony that the hypocritical leftist letter writer is “doing exactly what they accuse the homeowner of doing- not being accepting of others…I would redouble my lights.” Exactly.
