Joe Biden is warning Americans: Stay home and limit travel during the Christmas holiday season, because the coronavirus is surging.
The media has declared Biden president-elect, though the electoral college has yet to meet.
The former vice president made his remarks on Wednesday during a virtual roundtable with workers impacted by the virus.
"You cannot be traveling during these holidays, as much as you want to," @JoeBiden says during a roundtable with Americans struggling due to COVID-19.

Biden: ‘Christmas Is Going To Be A Lot Harder’
“I hope you are listening because, as with all the trouble you’re going through, you can not be traveling during these holidays, as much as you want to.”
By way of example, Biden said that though his family is large, they tried to take the proper precautions, during the Thanksgiving holiday.

“For the first time, we had a Thanksgiving with my wife and myself, my daughter … and her husband, who’s a doctor in the region, that’s it,” Biden said. “All my other kids, everyone else in the family was on Zoom on Thanksgiving.”
Biden said “Christmas is going to be a lot harder,” but that sacrifices would still be necessary.

Politicians Are Not Following Their Own Guidelines
“I don’t want to scare anybody, but understand the facts,” Biden said. “We’re likely to lose another 250,000 people, dead, between now and January … because people aren’t paying attention.”
“There are ways that we have to bring down the virus … bring down the replication rate of it,” he added.
Biden’s warnings come in the wake of public officials nationwide making similar declarations – and then completely ignoring them for themselves and their families.
Most recently, the mayor of Austin, Texas, Steve Adler, made national headlines Wednesday after he recorded a video urging his city’s residents to “stay home.”
Where did Adler make the video? During his vacation.

Adler apologized, but he wasn’t alone.
Last month, California Gov. Gavin Newsom became a national laughingstock after it was learned that he had violated his own COVID-19 restrictions to attend a birthday dinner.
‘Rules for thee, but not for me,’ seems to be the operating principle for many of these leaders urging Americans to stay safe and social distance.
But a word of caution for those who would question Democrats leaders who flout their own COVID rules: our national media’s dutiful fact-checkers are here to set you straight on your criticisms.
USA Today knocked a conservative Facebook group who chastised Democrat politicians for breaking their own COVID rules or suggestions.
The paper claims that it’s “missing context” to say Democrat leaders have been breaking their own rules – because people in the White House contracted COVID after breaking the rules.
So remember, if you want to criticize pro-lockdown Democrat politicians who break their own rules, always be sure to mention President Trump once contracted COVID so you aren’t missing context.
(Seriously, read this fact-check. It’s incredible.)
We shall see how much Democrat Joe Biden’s actions match his coronavirus rhetoric.
