Actions have consequences and the leftist cesspool that is New York City is suffering theirs. They have voted for a Marxist mayor and other leftist officials who have turned one of the greatest cities in the world into a municipal debacle, a place that no one who has a choice should live, because by doing so you put your life and the lives of your family in danger.

But this is the kind of town New Yorkers voted for. Thus this is the town they deserve. Perhaps not all of them, but the majority who vote for leftist Democrats have no credibility when complaining about even one problem in New York City because every one of those wounds is self-inflicted. That’s why instances like this are now commonplace: On Wednesday, a deranged Brooklyn rapper climbed on a city bus and aimed a flamethrower into the night sky. He probably was laughing maniacally, but we can’t confirm that. But yes, a flamethrower. Lunatics and flamethrowers.  Welcome to New York today.

FNC: “From subway attacks to shootings, violent crime is surging in New York City — a startling reversal after years of record declines. On Thursday, a 40-year-old woman was shoved onto the subway tracks in Manhattan’s Union Square station just before a train pulled in. She fell between the rails and a row bed, police said, escaping with minor injuries. A suspect was immediately arrested. Hours earlier on Wednesday night, a man was shoved onto the tracks of the 42nd Street-Bryant Park station by a panhandler after refusing to give him money, authorities said. The victim was able to get back on the platform and wasn’t seriously hurt. A suspect was arrested.”

“It’s not fair to the people who are using this system,” Sarah Feinberg, NYC Transit interim president, said of the attacks during a Thursday news conference. “It’s not fair to the woman who experienced this today. We have a crisis in this city, and it absolutely has to be addressed.” But it won’t be because to do so would mean a complete ideological reversal of city politics. And that won’t happen. So, let it bleed and hopefully contain the hemorrhage to the city limits.

“It’s almost like a perfect storm,” said Alfred Titus Jr., an assistant professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a former NYPD homicide detective, “We had bail reform, then defunding the police, which cut the amount of officers on the streets and the overtime that could be made, and now we have COVID-19.”

The numbers? NYC shootings have nearly doubled — from 698 last year to 1,359 this year as of Nov. 15, according to NYPD figures and the year isn’t over. However, this won’t matter to most in New York City. They will go on with blood on their hands until it reaches their doorstep. Then they will cry and rage and do more of nothing. Their political conditioning ensures that they act this way.

“The City Council pretty much took away the ability of the NYPD to make arrests,” SBA President Ed Mullins told press. “We have cops out there right now that are hesitant to grab anybody simply out fear that if it goes bad we may get ourselves arrested.” So, the cops are castrated by the city council. You have no law, no order, and no public safety of any sort in this city. Parents who willingly subject their children to it should be arrested for child endangerment.

In a statement released to announce his campaign for mayor, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, a former state senator and NYPD officer, said the city is “in a dark place right now. Whether it’s the pandemic or violence in our streets, we don’t feel safe.” Mr. Adams has a talent for understatement. Let’s see if he has any talent for government. Given he was elected to office as a Democrat in this voluntary terrordome, he likely has none at all.
