Billionaire investor Mark Cuban spoke out to slam Ted Cruz after the Texas senator dared to call out the politicization of the NBA and point to that ratings for basketball have subsequently plummeted.

It all started on Tuesday, when Cruz took to Twitter to mock the NBA over the fact that the Finals had historic low ratings in the wake of an overly political season.

“Not surprising. Personally speaking, this is the first time in years that I haven’t watched a single game in the NBA Finals. #GoWokeGoBroke,” Cruz tweeted.

This triggered Cuban, who is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

“A US Senator with 3 @NBA teams in his state, employing thousands of people and he is rooting for their businesses to do poorly,” Cuban responded.

A fiery exchange ensued between the two, as Cruz refused to take this laying down.

“I love @HoustonRockets & have rooted for them my entire life. I happily cheer for the Spurs & Mavericks against any non-TX team,” Cruz fired back. “But @mcuban the NBA is engaged in a concerted effort to (1) insult their fans & (2) turn every game into a left-wing political lecture. That’s dumb.”

This caused Cuban to come completely unhinged.

“You are so full of s**t,” Cuban wrote. “You haven’t watched a game of the finals, how would you know what is being said or done? Since when is a desire to end racism an insult to anyone or political? And you don’t think using #GetWokeGoBroke is a partisan insult? Again, this is who you are.”

However, this still did not silence Cruz, who pointed out that Cuban would not criticize the communist Chinese government, which partners with the NBA to increase their profits.

“I wish @mcuban loved his fans as much as he loves Chinese money,” he tweeted.

“Shame on me for putting American Civil Rights and Justice, creating jobs, growing our economy and healthcare reform over twitter proclamations,” Cuban shot back.
