There is a very real possibility that when the smoke clears, maybe in December or January, Joe Biden will have been elected president of the United States.
Notwithstanding the recent Pelosi proposal to form a commission to study the 25th Amendment because she wants to have mechanisms ready to oust Biden from office after 6 months to a year, Joe Biden will initially at least have a profound effect on the country if he is elected to the White House. Even with Pelosi already gunning for him, he’s probably good for 90 days. This is what they might look like.
1-30: Contrived national euphoria. Covid-19 regulations gone and virus declared cured all due to Joe Biden and the Democrats. Massive stimulus is passed to reopen businesses and give a large direct payment to all who are in this country. Not all taxpayers or citizens, all who are physically here. Trump executive orders are repealed. Southern border is flung open. Plan to pack Supreme Court begins. Trump broods from the sidelines. Riots stop but radical leaders pledge to keep an eye on Biden. Most Democrat legislation is stopped by the Republican Senate. But in national security and executive branch affairs, the hard left starts to take over. Media is all day Biden fan network. Fox puts one or two liberal hosts in its evening lineup, replacing Ingraham and/or Carlson.
30-60: Republican civil war begins. Trump tweets he may run again in 2024. Party establishment is horrified and open political warfare starts between GOP base and Republican DC establishment. Trump muses on third party, thus splitting Republican vote and insuring Democrat victories. Economy improves because of government spending. Most of the improvement is in the public sector. Job and GDP numbers lag. Wall Street and NASDAQ are not impressed by Biden. Their numbers start sliding. Covid-19 begins to reappear. Iran and China sign Tripartite Alliance with Russia. Biden administration turns away from Israel.
60-90: Hard left elements of Biden coalition, like Antifa and Black Lives Matter, publicly say Biden is a disappointment so far. They demand one of their own in Cabinet, preferably Attorney General slot. They threaten worse riots than during Trump administration if Biden doesn’t give in to their demands. Pelosi begins to leak damaging information on Biden’s health and stamina. Media picks up the theme and very slowly starts to talk about it. Harris is silent on the subject. Ten percent across the board defense funding decrease announced. Hard left fills in acting director posts in all intelligence agencies. No attempt at confirmation hearings in front of Republican Senate are planned. China ratchets up words on Taiwan. Russia moves armored troops to Ukrainian border. Iran and Iraq sign defense alliance…None of this has to happen. But it may if America can’t protect itself, from itself.
