RINOs try to steal GOP convention thunder

These are a lot of desperate people who need a job.

A group of desperate RINO job seekers who backed the wrong Republican horse in 2016, or were sacked because of incompetence, are trying to get revenge and rain on the GOP convention parade by releasing their pathetic names to a gleeful leftist press on Monday.

As there are no surprises, all have been publicly against the president for some time, it is an exercise in redundant futility. But in case you are wondering who they are and thus what names you can cross off the credibility list in the future, let us oblige you.

We know of some like John Kasich, Colin Powell, and Cary Fiorina, all of whom spoke at the Democratic National Convention last week. Add to the sad list former Republican Senators Gordon Humphrey of New Hampshire, Jeff Flake of Arizona, and John Warner of Virginia.

Has-been House members wanting back in the game so much they will sell out any principles they once had include former Reps Steve Bartlett of Texas, Bill Clinger of Pennsylvania, Tom Coleman of Missouri, Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania, Charles Djou of Hawaii, Mickey Edwards of Oklahoma, Wayne Gilchrest of Maryland, Jim Greenwood of Pennsylvania, Bob Inglis of South Carolina, Jim Kolbe of Arizona, Steve Kuykendall of California, Ray LaHood of Illinois (who was transportation secretary in the Obama administration), Jim Leach of Iowa, Connie Morella of Maryland, Mike Parker of Mississippi, Jack Quinn of New York, Claudine Schneider of Rhode Island, Chris Shays of Connecticut, Peter Smith of Vermont, Alan Steelman of Texas, Bill Whitehurst of Virginia, Dick Zimmer of New Jersey, and Jim Walsh of New York. All of them were swamp creatures in office and were not given jobs by President Trump. As such, they are trying to get paychecks from the Democrats.

Former GOP national security types on this roll of shame include National Security Adviser Michael Hayden and former Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte. Both were incompetent in office. This is the combined RINO rationale.

“These former members of Congress cited Trump’s corruption, destruction of democracy, blatant disregard for moral decency, and urgent need to get the country back on course as a reason why they support Biden. These former Members of Congress are supporting Joe Biden because they know what’s at stake in this election and that Trump’s failures as President have superseded partisanship… We believe he will restore the dignity of the presidency, bring Americans together, reassert America’s role as a global leader, and inspire our nation to live up to its ideals.” If it wasn’t such a craven supplication, it might be funny. The good guys struck back hard.

Trump honcho Tim Murtaugh comments, “Joe Biden has been a failure in the Washington Swamp for a half century, so no one should be surprised when Swamp creatures gather to protect one of their own. President Trump has unprecedented support — over 95 percent — among real Republican voters and is also making strong inroads in Biden’s core Democrat constituencies, like black Americans, Latins, and union members. President Trump’s record of success for all Americans will carry him to victory in November.”

RNC spokesman Steve Guest said former Senator Flake “has abandoned any set of principles he once professed to have in order to embrace Joe Biden, a far-left Democrat, who is the bannerman for AOC & Bernie Sanders’ $93 trillion Green New Deal agenda of raising taxes on the middle class and forcing government control of health care on to the American people.” That sums it up nicely.
