President Trump is rumored to have made the decision to commute Roger Stone’s jail sentence days before his longtime political associate is scheduled to report to prison to serve more than three years for charges stemming from former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. Fox News broke the story.
Conservatives have been pushing for this.
ENOUGH! @RealDonaldTrump should pardon Gen. Flynn, Roger Stone, Manafort and virtually every other American caught up in the corrupt Mueller special counsel operation.
And directly appoint a special counsel to hold the Obama/Clinton/Deep State abusers accountable to the law. https://t.co/9jbqks91iJ

Stone, a legendary political dirty trickster, is a DC showpony who specializes in anything and everything that will gain him publicity.
It has been quipped that the most dangerous spot in the nation’s capitol is anywhere between Roger Stone and a television camera.
Stone’s chicanery goes back to the Nixon administration, a fact Stone is quite proud of. It has given him a DC and media reputation as a stylish political buccaneer who seeks the limelight as a moth seeks flame. Though upon examination, beneath the veneer of bombast and glitz, there are very few actual political accomplishments.
Stone claimed he had “been praying” for a presidential commutation to save himself a stint in federal prison.
Given the inherent publicity in the trial and now the president’s intervention, Stone will be in his glory and will likely turn it into a book deal and a lecture tour. The man is incorrigible but nevertheless interesting.
