After accusing the Trump administration, the president himself, and police officers across the nation of racism, CNN hypocritically and ironically has refused to cover the deaths of black police officers killed by violent rioters during the unrest over the killing of George Floyd. If they did, it would ruin their leftist narrative that all the killing has been done by vicious white police officers against innocent law-abiding American citizens. But their blackout, if you will, on covering anything that does not meet that script shows in reality where the real bigotry lies.

CNN steadfastly failed to report that black retired police chief David Dorn, 77, suffered a gunshot wound to his torso about 2:30 a.m. last Tuesday and died on a sidewalk in front of a looted St. Louis pawnshop, Lee’s Pawn & Jewelry, that he was helping to protect. CNN did not mention Dorn by name from the time the news broke on early Tuesday morning through Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. The story was spiked, denied coverage, for over a day even though other news outlets covered it immediately after it happened.

On night after Dorn’s death CNN anchor Chris Cuomo actually suggested that the George Floyd protesters are under no obligation to be “polite and peaceful.” He didn’t mention Dorn at all, as Cuomo said it was a “sad day” for America because curfews were implemented to prevent violent protests, “Now too many see the protests as the problem. No, the problem is what forced your fellow citizens to take to the streets: persistent, poisonous inequities and injustice. And please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful. Because I can show you that outraged citizens are what made the country what she is and led to any major milestone. To be honest, this is not a tranquil time.”

To paraphrase the Gipper, “there he goes again,” using false charges of American racism to cover up his own bigoted reporting. Cuomo added, “Police are the ones required to be peaceful, to deescalate, to remain calm.” Yes, weak police officers are always good at protecting people and property from violent riots. Always.

“David Dorn was exercising law enforcement training that he learned here,” St Louis Police Chief John Hayden said after Dorn’s murder. Again, CNN refused coverage.

As opposed to the liberal media, President Trump paid his respects to the slain police hero, “Our highest respect to the family of David Dorn, a Great Police Captain from St. Louis, who was viciously shot and killed by despicable looters last night. We honor our police officers, perhaps more than ever before. Thank you!”

CNN, staying with their script, also failed to initially cover the story of a black federal law enforcement officer in California who was shot and killed at the U.S. courthouse in Oakland during a violent protest. His name was Patrick Underwood. The liberal network took considerable time to mention the killing. The shooting occurred a week ago Friday after a vehicle pulled up outside the federal building at about 9:45 p.m. A person opened fire at two security officers who worked for Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service. Underwood was killed while the second officer was wounded.

Department of Homeland Security Acting Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli said at a DC news conference after the murder,“When someone targets a police officer or a police station with an intention to do harm and intimidate — that is an act of domestic terrorism. There are currently threats by some to attack police stations and federal buildings. That violence not only won’t be tolerated, we are also committed to ensuring that it won’t succeed anywhere.”

The network also initially refused to cover the deaths in the line of duty of black law enforcement officers Max Brewer and Chris Beaty. The liberal news firm has given the stories little to no coverage since. These American heroes, all four of them, deserve better than the disrespect CNN has shown them.
