Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) took apart former President Barack Obama’s wild claims that Republicans have a propaganda network working to dismantle the truth.

On Tuesday, Obama made a long-awaited endorsement of Democrat Joe Biden for president. As he is known to do, Barack took a few subtle jabs at the opposition.

In what many have concluded was a shot at Fox News —the only network that at least tries to provide both sides in their reporting— Obama claimed there is a massive right-wing media complex out there aiding President Donald Trump.

In providing an endorsement, Obama did what he is well-versed at doing: dividing the country during a time of crisis. He claimed the Republican Party is “not interested in progress” but, instead, is “interested in power.”

“The other side has a massive war chest,” he whined. “The other side has a propaganda network with little regard for the truth.” This is a man who covered up a massive gun-running scheme by the federal government in Operation Fast and Furious, said he never spied on Americans, claimed you could keep your doctor, and told the nation that four Americans died in Benghazi because of a YouTube video.

Cruz Not Having It

If anybody knows propaganda, I suppose it’d be the guy who perfected it.

That said, Senator Cruz wasn’t having it, pointing out to Obama that the Left has a firm grip on the media bias department. “‘We’ve only got ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, WaPo, NYT [and] just about every other newspaper in America,'” Cruz sarcastically tweeted. “‘How can we compete on [money] and propaganda?'”

Liberal media bias has been well-established for decades. Further, the media became a caricature of itself when they spent eight years glossing over every scandal out of the Obama administration and fawning all over themselves to perpetuate a myth that Barack was actually a capable president. In the era of Trump, the media bias is almost at a level seen in other countries.

Left-Wing Propaganda

How bad is the left-wing propaganda machine? In 2017, CNN anchor Jake Tapper admitted that Obama was able to get away with lying to the American people because he knew his media allies would cover it up. “President Obama said things that weren’t true and got away with it more for a variety of reasons, and one is the media was much more supportive of him,” Tapper asserted in an interview with Rolling Stone.

Since then, Tapper has become a true blue liberal, anti-Trump propagandist at CNN. And the network? They now engage in actual propaganda for the Democratic Party, recently adding opinion statements (see above) to straight-news chyrons during President Trump’s press conferences.
