Last Friday socialist anti-American Rep. Ilhan Omar, Democrat of Minnesota, introduced legislation in the House that would socialize U.S. housing and give virus benefits to illegal aliens. She was joined in her antics by fellow Democrat Squad members Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts.

Said Omar in a statement, “The coronavirus crisis is more than just a public health crisis—it’s an economic crisis. Minnesotans are losing jobs, getting their hours reduced and struggling just to put food on the table. We must take major action to protect the health and economic security of the most vulnerable, including the millions of Americans currently at risk of housing instability and homelessness.”

So, let’s turn the entire American housing system into a socialist quagmire.

She went on: “Congress has a responsibility to step in to stabilize both local communities and the housing market during this time of uncertainty and crisis. In 2008, we bailed out Wall Street. This time, it’s time to bail out the American people who are suffering.”

“Step in to stabilize.” Translation: Come in to take over.

Not forgetting to try and shoehorn in open borders malarkey in her bill, Omar called for a halt to all deportations during the virus. This was in response to Guatemala’s health minister, who whined that many virus cases in his country could be traced back to migrants returned from the U.S.

Then perhaps they shouldn’t have come here at all, eh Mr. Minister? Perhaps you may want to exert some control over your own borders.

Omar also called for Congress’ virus relief package to include so-called “mixed-status” families, which would include illegal aliens. “It is absurd and cruel that a taxpaying, mixed status [sic] couple or family could be excluded from this relief,” said Omar.

It is crueler for America to suffer the crime and cost illegal immigration brings with it. But then America has never been a concern of The Squad.
