A Democratic strategist who acted as a senior advisor on former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s failed presidential campaign just spoke out to say that he will go after Donald Trump’s family if Republicans continue to seek answers about Hunter Biden’s business dealings with Ukraine.
During an interview with MSNBC this past weekend, Timothy O’Brien threatened that there will be a “scorched-earth” crusade against President Trump’s children if Republicans “make an issue out of Hunter Biden.”
“If the Republicans really want to make an issue out of Hunter Biden, which is very low-hanging fruit that I don’t think most Democratic voters care about anyway, there is going to be a scorched-earth response aimed at all of the Trump children that is unlike anything they’ve experienced thus far in the media,” said O’Brien, who acts as an executive editor at Bloomberg’s news conglomerate.
He went on to call the Trump family “grifters,” indicating that their wealth is not legitimate, according to The Blaze.
“The Trump family are epic grifters, and this goes back generations,” O’Brien said as he continued his rant. “Fred Trump made his money by intersecting with both the federal government and state government in New York. Donald came up through New York, intersecting with local government and in Atlantic City.”
“Now they are now in the White House, and all of them are dipping their faces into the till,” O’Brien continued.
Host Joy Reid then asked O’Brien if his boss Bloomberg would fund this “scorched-earth” campaign against the Trump family, to which he responded that it is “important” for voters to see how the Trump family has earned its billions.
“I think it’s an important moment for the American people to be woke about how rampant the financial conflicts of interest are among Trump’s children and the president himself,” O’Brien said.
Bloomberg endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden immediately after he dropped out of the race last month, and he has since expressed plans to use his billion-dollar fortune to make sure Trump loses the election in November.
It’s both disturbing and sickening that MSNBC allowed someone to threaten the children of the president of the United States with no push-back. Given how anti-Trump the mainstream media has always been, if Trump’s children were doing anything illegal or unethical, reporters would have already called them out for it.
This just goes to show that this year’s presidential election might just be the ugliest of it’s kind in modern history. Anti-Trump Democrats will do absolutely anything to remove the president from office, even if it means going after his family.
The Trump family needs our support now more than ever. We can’t let the media get away with what they’re about to do to them.
