Comedian-turned-far-left activist Chelsea Handler tried to portray Donald Trump as “racist” this week by telling her followers to pay attention to the “color” of the “criminals” the president has been granting clemency to as of late. Unfortunately for her, however, it did not take long for this to blow up in her face.

Yesterday, President Trump pardoned seven people and commuted the sentences of four others, according to The Blaze. Some of these people were controversial, while others were not famous individuals.

Of course, the media chose to focus on just the controversial folks, reporting almost solely on the release of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and the pardons of former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr., and financier Michael Milken.

Handler bought into the media’s narrative hook, line and sinker, and clearly did not take the time to research who else had been given clemency by Trump.

“While our president exonerates criminals and releases them from jail, notice what color they all are,” Handler tweeted, ignoring the fact that various women of color were either pardoned or released from prison because of what Trump did yesterday.

The backlash against Handler was swift, as many fired back by calling her out for her own ignorance. Conservative media analyst Mark Dice quickly responded to Handler by writing, “I’ve noticed a lot of them are black! What are you trying to say, Chelsea?”

Director and producer Robby Starbuck gave Handler a free lesson about who really had been helped by Trump’s acts of clemency on Tuesday.

“Chelsea, This is @theangiestanton, Tynice Hall & Crystal Munoz. All were granted commuted sentences or a full pardon,” Starbuck wrote. “He did 11 commutations or pardons today. Out of 11, 7 looked white (63%). Whites (including white Hispanics) account for 77% of the population. You’re ignorant.”

Angela Stanton-King, who was pardoned by Trump yesterday, fired back at Handler by writing bluntly: “I’m BLACK.”

Handler is just another Hollywood liberal who spends her time twisting everything into something that is anti-Trump. She also is a hypocrite who claims to love fighting for minorities while ignoring all the good that Trump has done for people of color since taking office.

Before Handler leaps onto social media to attack Trump again, she might want to do some research first. Just a quick Google search could do wonders to help Handler not make herself look like the absolute fool.

Then again, Handler might just be a lost cause to begin with. As Trump himself would say: SAD!
