Hillary Says Sanders Is Unlikable
On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton told The Hollywood Reporter she thinks Sanders, a top contender against her in the 2016 Democratic presidential primary and a current 2020 White House hopeful, is unlikable.
“He was in Congress for years. He had one Senator support him. Nobody likes him. Nobody wants to work with him,” Clinton says is an upcoming documentary. “He got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney, and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”
Clinton ended up beating Sanders in a competitive Democratic primary to win her party’s nomination in 2016. But at the time, many Clinton supporters were frustrated that Sanders did not bow out of the primaries sooner and were irked that the Senator’s supporters did not fully get behind Clinton as the nominee.
Fellow Candidates Show Support for Sanders
When Clinton’s comments were published Tuesday, Sanders’ fellow 2020 candidates showed their support for him.
“I like Bernie,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard tweeted.
I like Bernie. #ILikeBernie

There is no love lost between Gabbard and former Secretary of State Clinton. Earlier this month, Gabbard criticized Clinton by calling her a “warmonger.”
“I think everybody knows and understands that she is a warmonger,” Gabbard said during an appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” “And it is her record.”

Clinton tweeted Tuesday night that she would support whomever won this year’s Democratic nomination.
“The number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee,” Clinton said.
I thought everyone wanted my authentic, unvarnished views!
But to be serious, the number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.

Hillary Clinton will no doubt support whomever ends up winning the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
But didn’t she just make it a lot more awkward if it ends up being Bernie Sanders?
