‘What Adam Schiff Did’ to GOP Lawmaker on Friday Could Be Considered ‘Intimidation’

Stephanie Grisham, the White House press secretary, spoke out on Saturday night on “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on Fox News about her views of the public impeachment inquiry hearings this past week — and let it rip.

“You know, it’s interesting to me,” said Grisham.

“I would say that what Adam Schiff did to [GOP] Congresswoman [Elise] Stefanik [of New York] could be intimidation.”

“I would say that something that a cable network [meaning CNN] did to one of our senior advisers, Kellyanne Conway, this week — that could be looked at as intimidation,” Grisham continued.

“That tweet [that the president sent out on Friday] was the president’s opinion, which he has a right to have.”

“He was expressing why he didn’t have faith in [former Ukraine ambassador Marie] Yovanovitch.”

And “he deserves to have people that he believes in,” she added. “He was going around the Dems [by tweeting during the hearings], and on his Twitter, which he’s always so good at doing, and that’s what made them angry.”

“I would also say I think it’s laughable that we started with the word ‘quid pro quo,’ now we’ve moved to bribery, and now we’re going to intimidation. I realize the Dems are polling what kind of words are hitting us the hardest — but I think the American people are seeing this, too, which is why we wanted the sham things opened up to the public anyway.”

Grisham also said to Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, in part, “Adam Schiff and company are moving the goalposts and changing the rules. This week, everything was public; today [Saturday] was once again behind closed doors, and it’s interesting because everything that’s coming out are selective leaks against this president. We don’t know what was said in there — if there is anything said in there that was for this president, that’s certainly not leaking out.”

“So, the rules keep changing,” she added.

“This is why the president keeps going to Twitter and going around them. We have no rights in this whole sham, and it’s horrible. It’s really horrible.”

Grisham also acknowledged that virtually from the moment this president has been elected, there are elements both within the government and outside of it that have worked to try to turn the tide against him.

“This has been going on before the president was elected and certainly once he took office,” she said. “You know, The Washington Post had an article in 2017 — January 2017 — right after the president took office, with a headline talking about the Dems and how they were planning a resistance like no other president would ever see.”

“And as you mentioned, [Rep.] Maxine Waters [of California] — she not only called for resistance, she encouraged her supporters to go after anybody in the Trump administration. And then, you know, election night. I’ve got to tell you — I was with the press and I did see media with tears in their eyes because they were so upset over this president getting elected.”

“We’ve gone from the Russia hoax — now we’re at impeachment. So this has been a concerted effort. And this shouldn’t happen to any president. I don’t care what party you’re in,” she said.
