Barack Obama, promoting the non-profit foundation that bears his name, suggested the need to “train a million Baracks and Michelles” to instill hope in these troubling times.

Speaking at a sold-out arena in Winnipeg, Canada, the former president insisted these “challenging times” can be met with “skills, support, financing” and an army of community organizers.

“If we could form a network of those young leaders, not just in the United States, but around the world, then we got something,” he said. “If we can train a million Baracks and Michelles who are running around thinking they can change the world” — then hope might be attained.

Talk about your all-time entries for the Hall of Fame of bad ideas.

One “Barack and Michelle” nearly took down the country — and led to the rise of a successor who actually cares about America. Hard pass.

“If we train them — if we give them skills, support, financing, media training, spotlights, then they’re the ones that are going to carry forward the solutions that we so desperately need,” Obama added.

Mr. and Mrs. Obama actually believe what is being said here: that the world would be a better place if there were simply more of them in it.

Obama, speaking of his foundation in March of 2018, unleashed the idea to his supporters.

“After I left office, what I realized is that the Obama Foundation could potentially create a platform for young, up-and-coming leaders, both in the United States and all around the world to come together, meet together, create a digital platform where they could exchange information,” Obama said.

“If I could do that effectively, then I would create a hundred, or a thousand, or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas.”

Just weeks prior to that, the former first lady mentioned the idea as well.

“This is why I’m not going to run for president because I think it’s a better investment to invest in creating thousands of ‘me’s,'” Michelle announced to an adoring crowd of sycophants.

“We don’t just need one — we need thousands and thousands.”

Jabs at Trump. Aside from the nightmare scenario discussed above, Obama took a shot at the current administration without naming names.

The man who held back the American economy, jobs, and businesses claimed the current White House wouldn’t be able to handle an economic crisis in a “common-sense” manner.

“If we had a crisis today, I’m concerned that we, at least in the United States, may not be in the habit of trying to figure things out in a common sense, practical way,” Obama claimed.

He added that the current political environment in the United States is “disconnected from facts” and that these truths “are shielded from facts and reason and logic.”

Nobody asked him to comment on his own lies — including whether Benghazi was the result of a YouTube video or the “if you like your doctor” fictional tale.
